Better for the planet...

Sustainability simply means meeting our own needs with the actions that won’t compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. While improving the quality of our lives; sustainability helps to protect the ecosystem and to preserve natural resources.

The fashion industry is known as one of the most polluting industries and it leaves behind a huge environmental footprint. Power and water consumption is a real problem for the environment.

With a view to a modern ethics of environmental sustainability, Polsan researches and develops innovative production techniques that reduce the waste of water and energy to the maximum, thanks to the abolition of chemical products.

High quality recycled polyester buttons

Plastic originated bottles are collected by the waste collectors and PET-built ones are combined, washed, cleaned and dried. They are grounded into small particules/granules. The polymer structure of these granules are reduced with a chemical reaction process and brought into liquid form. Liquid from PET has become a raw material that can be used in the production of unsaturated polyester resin.

Raw material liquid PET is mixed with the other raw materials used in the production of unsatured polyester resin in the reactors. At the end of the chemical reaction the new form of unsatured polyester resin for the production of buttons is produced.

Recycled polyester is simply polyester produced from recycled sources; PET bottles, industrial polyester waste, and even garments. Because the recycling process reconstitutes the fiber on a molecular level, there is no difference between recycled polyester and virgin polyester.

Performance and durability, benefits, including high strength and functional versatility of recycled polyester is the same than traditional polyester but with a lower environmental impact.

Save the date!

As Polsan, we will attending the Digital Denim Week by the Denim Première Vision from July 05 to 09, 2021.

Launched in December 2020, the Digital Denim Week is a 100% on-line event that brought together the entire community, virtually, for one week on the Première Vision Marketplace.

We are happy to be part of this event to be able to share our new ideas and products.
